I wanted to ask our base (the ones still here at least) - why is it that you prefer FFG over us? From what I've seen he's copied nearly word for word, and every aspect of what I've done here, but yet... everyone flocks there.

 

Personally I don't care - Adsense pays for the site here, and I'll leave it up running until whenever... but I'm assuming at this point people just don't like me. If that's the case then... sorry?

I don't prefer FFG to "The Fur Den" at all. This is and has been a great site.

I personally get a different vibe from TFD than from what passes for FFG these days, and I prefer the enhanced class that I experience here. That aside, there is always the factor of solidarity and holding membership in a very long-standing community.

I liked the old FFG but the new one is not as good and TFD is a lot better and also you know The Fur Den is always going to be here and is more trustworthy.

Unless I totally misread what neoJaguar is after with this topic, we are NOT trying to compete with ANY other website. What I think neo, & I, are after is the opinion of those who frequent both sites as to what the resurrected FFG provides fur lovers that we don't.

I didn't say that, nor was I complaining. My point was what am I not doing that they are that the people over there prefer them to us given the history.

 

I'll admit I was a bit salty about it.. given that the site was given to me - I turned it around entirely - all the while the other was putting up fake accounts to try and steal money from people.. then the 'real' site comes back, and it's all of a sudden the best place on earth after essentially taking most if not all of what I did here down to the terms and condition copy/paste at the time.

 

It is what it is at any rate. I plan to keep the site going for as long as people are coming whether it be 1 or 100.

The Den is more user friendly and it has a great group of members. Plus the moderators and web support is excellent!

The old FFG was more attractive to a lot of folks, because it offered more and raunchier content. TFD could not host some XXX and fetish content simply because it was hosted at a US provider and was subjet to US law whereas the old FFG did not have such a restriction. Hence, for example, FFG could have a thread about "World wide fur escorts", TFD did not (and could not) have it.

Also - we're pretty open to content now given it's not violence, and whatnot. I'm doing my best to get the gallery back up to par as well as trying to figure out a way to get uploads happening for videos. I have over 50gb of video on my drive I'm hoping to get online soon.

Personaly i've just entered in fur bussiness as owner of haute acorn, i am posting our magazine stories here and also in FFG, but the truth is that when i just want to understand and listen people that talk about fur , i am coming here and i check the threads, because here the conversations are broader and you also open many more topics! So i think people can go here or there, but here the forum is more complete and compelling!

I bet that the old culture still lingers in some peoples minds, like with the "raunchyness" and more adult content. But with that said I don't know if there is that much more of action there? Are you sure they have more posts/day or from what are you basing that?

 

If it is more action there, one part of it could be this:

Try to google "Fur fetish" or fur fashion and see what comes up first. I think it's as simple as that.

I find myself rarely coming to any fur websites these days just because of time constraints.

Didn't know FFG was back, but it was always so variable and prone to scorn and vitriol that it just wasn't a relaxing place to share views.

I go back to the early days of this website and it has always been comfortable, nearly always respectful, a quality place to find information by like minded individuals, and generous of spirit and ideas.

Just like a comfy sofa (fur covered of course) and ugg slippers.
