trebor
Sorry if this is a bit mundane, but I am giddy with glee. There is a hint of Fall in the air tonight. I know it is kind of early yet but our weathermen have been saying that the weather cycle seems to have advanced a month so it might be not all that odd. Either way, I'll be sleeping under my fox blanket tonight with the window WIDE OPEN. If we don't have a bad heat wave, we could have Fall colors here in the Rockies by the end of the month. Guest
LUCKY! We're still HOPING the temps don't go back over the century mark...AGAIN here in sunny California (that seems to be on fire everywhere).
Marcel
I heard that one fireman got trapped. Are the fires under control or are you preparing for evacuation?

Panther10
Here in Chicago for the most part we've had a pretty mild summer for the most part but now that we are approaching the back half of the season it's just getting to be more hot and humid. Not fun. I'm not a fan of heat or humidity. Once I'm drenched in sweat its just hard for me to carry on with my day and I end up with this huge chip on my shoulder if I can't cool off or get into a shower and a fresh change of clothes. I'd rather it be cooler than to deal with this overbearing heat one more day.
Coyote
The UK has not really had a summer this year! But I'm hoping for a frosty and crisp winter that will bring out the furs. (90% faux here, but more people are wearing even those, so it is easier on the eyes than water-proof coats that accompany wet winters!)
