Ummm a little pricey you think??

Wolverine is an expensive fur. They are difficult to hunt or trap.

In my opinion, the maker did not do a good job of matching the pelts or layout. I think it is only overpriced by $1,000 to $2,000.

Have seen two other Wolverine furs for men on eBay, courtesy of Oliver furs. Both have been far better looking than the one you show and also cheaper.

Full Length Coat

Wolverine Parka

And for something different

From a brief look at your linked fur... the inclusion of the phrase "Museum quality" might have more than just a descriptively truthful element to it.

If this is a native made totally hand sewn parka, that could explain a lot about the look of the parka. Generally, native hand sewing does not achieve the quality look and finish of garments made by professional furriers.

  • 2 weeks later...

They sell lots of wolverine wild furs at auctions at Seattle and Canada.

Prices I see there are definitely not to justify a 10.000$ parka

From the last NAFA (Canada) fur auction:

Wolverine Quantity: 143 Sold 98% Minimum: $310.19 Maximum : $410.00

extremely small quantities of 143 skins only, but these are bigger than a big sized fox if I recall

Wow, unbelievable the low quantity sold. Almost looks like Oliver may have bought the whole bunch.

I was trying to remember the "Wolverine". Is he a lad that is really vicious in life?
