There have been a number of threads lately talking about videos. I would just like to point out that we do indeed have a spot in the Gallery to save videos. For two different reasons this can be technical. First off, we try to use the best formats for as many as possible to be able to see them here. Secondly, videos take up a lot of space and often have to be changed in a number of ways to make them suitable for the Den.

 

This often involves shrinking them in size, or cutting out parts of them. Dividing them into two, etc.

 

We would love to save videos for you in our Gallery. We just ask that they be of high quality to justify our saving them there. A video that is all out of focus or shows only rug shots just takes up too much room. However, if you have a video that you would like saved, simply send the link to it to Worker or AKcoyote, and they will do it for you. Part of the reason that not many have been saved is that they are available on Utube or other such sites. However, we should point out that just because a video is on Utube today, does not mean it will be there tomorrow. However, if a video is in our Gallery, it is likely safe for a long, long time.

 

Again, just let us know if you would like a video saved and we will gladly do so. The same of course goes for newspaper writeups, etc. Our Library is available for such at any time. I just saved a new one last night in fact. These areas are indeed for all members to use. Not just moderators.
