WinnipegFur Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 After a warm 20C weekend and all the snow finally gone, looks like a winter storm for tonite... Rain, snow, freezing rain, and more snow tomorrow... overnite lows of -11C ... time to go for a walk in the park in ye ole Coyote
JGalanos Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 It must be heading this way. We're supposed to drop below freezing this weekend with a possibility of snow. I should have a couple more "fur days" before my furs go into storage.
bunnyson2 Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Here in Southern Manitoba we got about 4" of heavy, wet white stuff. I brought this weather here from Bozeman,Montana. In the last three weeks there were about eight snowy days-and the only furs I saw were on this site -and a fur trimmed hood on a temporary worker from Thailand.-- Go figure !!
Guest Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Still cold and damp winds off the Pacific. Fur is still the coat of the day here OFF
lynxette Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Will definitely be wearing several of my heavier furs well into the month of May...starting with a blue fox jacket tomorrow.
FurLoverinFL Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 I dropped my furs off on Wednesday to start their summer vacation in storage. FLinFL
brandy-uk Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 We have a saying in England... 'Never shed a clout..till may is out...' meaning..don't store your coat away until may has gone.. because bad weather can always come back... I can just hope that it will be cold enough to wear fur...Nahhhh!, i don't care. I will wear it in the house... ha ha ha Brandy xxxx
AKcoyote Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 For those who may be interested, my area has received 16 inches of snow in the past 24 hours. With the temperatures near freezing, it may not feel like fur weather, but it sure does look like it
JGalanos Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I think my fur days are over. It's supposed to warm up this weekend and stay that way ... So my babies are leaving on their six month sabbatical this weekend. At least it was cold enough to wear my mahogany mink jacket today.
JGalanos Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I put my furs in storage this weekend. I don't know which was more painful -- Suffering separation anxiety or reviewing the bill they handed me. I attended an event that evening. It was still chilly out so I wore my (OFF -- Cover your eyes!) faux ranch mink coat. It was an ideal coat for a damp, chilly 40 degree night.
Guest Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Sigh...I took our furs in for storage, and ended up buying two more coats: a shearling for myself and a mink for my wife! Of course, they went straight into storage.
JGalanos Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Nice. What kind of shearling did you buy (style, length, color, etc.)? (And mink for that matter.) I've thought seriously about getting a shearling ... Especially after seeing some exceptional ones on the streets of Manhattan in January.
