Get the free programme called Ad-Aware and run that and it should take care of any spyware you have on your computer.

One thing confuses people though. There are programs with very similar names to those out there who tell you how you can load the program for absolutely free. Right. When loaded, even before you do a scan some times, they tell you all of the things wrong. And how for a certain price you can proceed to get rid of the problems, etc. Yep, you can load the program for nothing. But you have to pay to use it! Talk about dishonest!

So, just be very careful that you load the correct programs. Both of those programs are free to load AND free to use! And they work!

Furup;

Do you have something called "Zango" installed in your browser?

I bet $100 you do!

Read about Zango at Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zango

Zango is a group of software applications that promises to give you access to all kinds of free multimedia content. But what they don't tell you is that, in order to get it, you have to let them pump advertisements into your computer! Once you install Zango, your computer is basically hijacked!

Read about removal of Zango here:

http://www.pchell.com/support/zango.shtml

P.S. -- I can not guarantee that page is up to date. Read carefully before proceeding.

You can also get "Ad-Aware" from this site:

http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

"Spybot - Seach & Destroy" can be found here:

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

"Spyware Doctor" can be found here:

http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/

There is also a similar piece of adware called "Fun Web Products" that does very similar things. I do not believe you have this on your computer but others who read this might want to check. I know there is a fair number of members who come here who DO have it on their comptuer.

Between removing Zango and running the "Ad-Aware" program (or one of the others) you SHOULD restore your computer to its good-old self.
