Hi all.

Looks like we going to be in the US in January, starting in Vegas for a conference. Then we're free for 2 weeks.

Don't really want to travel to the east coast if possible, but the wife and myself would like to visit the standout furriers in the states as part of our trip -its a holiday goal for both of us. As we don't have a single furriers with showroom left in New Zealand!

After classic must visits -if there's anything left over there too. We would travel to a town/city just for the furriers if it was worth it.

Suggestions and personal experiences greatly appreciated 🙏🏼

Don't know if there's many furriers in the western part of the US. But if you make it to Southern California, there's a nice furrier in Orange County called California Fur and Leather that I always use for my services. They have some nice preowned furs. And there's a few in Beverly Hills. Southern California is worth visiting regardless.

Correct me if I am wrong, California does not allow the sale of new furs, only used pre own furs.

Yes thats correct unfortunately. So all these furriers sell preowned/vintage furs

Which US city is Umtausch in? Or did Austria become the US’s 51st state?

Howdy all! Next month I’m going to be going on a trip to Wisconsin but I’ll have to fly into Chicago for it. Will only be in Chicago for the day, what furriers would you recommend visiting while I’m there?

Please help me: when exactly is a brand new fur coat turned into a used and/or preowned fur coat?

Many car manufacturers do not even sell their cars for a car plate for only one day. The day after the car is no longer brand new...

Definitely go to New York City, if you have the chance (I know you don't wanna go to the East Coast/BEAST COAST)! BUT, AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! There are SO MANY furriers and vintage shops that sell furs, both new and secondhand! However, what constitutes vintage fur, and new fur is; that vintage fur is usually around 20 ~ 50+ years old (think Roaring 20s to the 1980s with the full length power fox fur coats!) and a lot of people generally sell these furs for a fraction of their market price, when they were first sold (those furs at the time could be upwards of up to $50,000) As for new fur, it's basically the kind of fur that is more modern, less gimmicky, and more of a additional fashion statement to it, as opposed to the practicality of vintage fur. There's also archive fur (which is basically, the rarest, most coveted furs that are sought BY MANY affluent individuals/collectors who are willing to pay a hefty price to own one of these archive fur pieces exclusively sold in F/W, S/SS collections, etc., think Rihanna's fur gown seen at the Met Gala).

Will do! Besides getting a reservation for Andriana furs, any other options you would recommend that I possibly wouldn’t need a reservation? I’ll also be traveling from the airport north to Wisconsin if that helps out any
