Buying Fur coats from China?

I understand that a lot of furs coats are made in China and sold in the United States.  Many coats are started in China and finished in the USA.  Has anyone purchased a fur coat from China?  Maybe gone to China on a trip and ended up buying a fur coat?  How was your experience and quality of the coat?  I am thinking of going on a trip to China and I am wondering if a fur shop is worth a visit there.

I have bought some stuff online there. Generally decent quality at low prices. However I am a little reluctant because they don't care much about animal welfare, and also the quality may be decent but never superb. When ordering something there it is a good idea to aks for some accurate pictures. But of course if you go there in person then you can decide then and there to buy or not.

I bought some furs in China in 2010-2011 on Ebay and they were fine. Good enough quality but nothing amazing. I'm sure with how China has advanced since then and luxury items have become more desired, the quality has gone up, and with most things there are lower quality and higher quality stores. There are some seller onlines that make amazing beautiful dream fur coats.

Almost all the fur coats and stuff I have are from China...the price is fair and lower than European furs, and the quality is good...you just have to pay attention to the furrier you order. Because quality is a point.

As @gai said, I've done many, many custom projects with them, and I still do, and everything has gone well so far.

Try chatting with him for custom projects... and try to be as descriptive as possible, even though he also communicates well in English, the language can sometimes be a barrier.

But he has delivered every single custom project I've done with him so far, from the simplest to the most complex...

I see them as red flags because of a long and sordid history of bad business practices and poor welfare treatment. And I encourage people to not fall for them. If you see a fur online that happens to look gorgeous and you think the coat that you’ve purchased is going to look exactly like the model you saw on instagram or Snapchat, I’m afraid it’s not. More than likely the seller purchased a high quality fur from a high quality fur from Chanel or some other top of the line boutique and then modeled that coat, without sufficiently advertising as such. And the real coat you are about to receive is a knock off version of the product that you thought you were receiving. It’s an elaborate bait and switch. My parents used to hire a housekeeper who fell for this scam. She bought a fur from China and what she wound up with looked like a jacket made from furniture upholstery. It was absolutely disgusting. I had no doubts in my mind that this jacket could cause cancer

Yeah good point. A lot of these Chinese sellers want to be paid by Zelle or Western Union or PayPal Xoom which is shady as fuck. I’d avoid these sellers at all costs.

Wtf are you guys talking about? I’ve gotten 3 perfect coats from China. No identity theft. Aliexpress uses paypal as well. If you’re happy with overpaying for a coat made with furs that probably come from China anyway, buy from EU or USA 🤷🏻‍♂️
