CoyoteFox Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Excuse the weird title... I got you here to discuss this second-hand coat that I'm considering buying below... Found it online and I'm curious if the Fur Den experts think this dusty fox can be saved with a professional cleaning... Does it need a glazing while we're at it? I appreciate your help explaining what a good cleaning can and can't do for an older coat... Water damage perhaps? It has a Sabrina Carpenter red carpet fur coat vibe to it... Buy & Restore or Don't Buy? Many thanks, and Hug a Fur Coat Today! 2
Chrisfurlover Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago How much is it and would it be worth getting it cleaned? Do you have a furrier local or nearby to go to them beforehand and show them the pictures and ask about their opinion beforehand? 1
CoyoteFox Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago (edited) @Chrisfurlover Equivalent of $160 USD... That's the listed price, and no way I'd pay that much for a coat in this condition... But it gets me thinking each time I see one of these... It could've been inside a garbage bag for 20years in a shipping container for all I know at this point... Maybe I'm too optimistic thinking it could get back to how it looked before the obvious weathering it's received... I see older coats all the time that have this look and I thought I'd ask the people who know vintage furs the best... 👍 Edited 10 hours ago by CoyoteFox 1

That’s only if you want. Would be cool to document the journey and see how well it turns out
