I think I can definitively say that Fox fur is the trendsetter

I’ve been perusing through the Pinterest pages that I follow that are dedicated to fur fashion, specifically through a ton of accounts I haven’t browsed through in a few years and my god…Fox fur is the front runner in terms of trendiness/fashion appeal by an overwhelming majority. I’ve seen galleries that contain 60,000 images worth of fur pictures and around 92% of those pictures are of fox fur jackets and coats. The remaining 8% is an even mix of sable, lynx, mink, beaver, North American raccoon,  Finnish Raccoon, rabbit and the occasional fisher fur.

its virtually the same ration on other pin boards as well. Fox fur has taken the fashion world over by a tremendous show of force. It’s unreal.

Agree 100%. Fox fur is incredibly alluring in its opulence and elegance.  It always turns heads and gets attention.  Long overdue for the resurgence of fur fashion.  I believe we’re in a 2nd age of fur fashion like in the 80’s.  I’m excited for more furs and fur coats yet to come.

Total agreement there. I’ve been doing some independent research on the types of foxes too because I’ve noticed a trend lately. And that is that most varieties of shadow foxes are not available here in the USA. At least by any metric that can be appreciated. They are incredibly rare and will mostly be found in Eastern Europe and the Baltic region. If you ever encounter one in a domestic fur boutique or full service salon, expect to pay upwards of $15k-$20k for a brand new one depending on the species. Finding one from an overseas seller is also difficult for other logistical reasons but they are much less expensive overall. Between $4k-$9k, again, depending on the species.

that said, occasionally shadow foxes can be found on vintage racks here in the states but never count on that as the norm. It’s more of an exception to the rule

Hoping to see some furs this winter in uk, we’re in the grip of a hard left borderline communist government at the moment & they control the narrative. Alas they got a chunk of money off the green & sickly brigade to shut what remains of our fur industry.
