comeback and fur upgrades

Hello everyone,

I’m back after a long absence, partly due to a general desire to take a break, and partly because of health issues.

We had a horrible summer with the heatwave; I’m curious to see how it will affect the autumn and winter seasons.

As for my fur collection, there hasn't been much change, given my health issues and the renovations planned for my house in the coming weeks.

I did buy a muskrat fur throw, and I’ve ordered a sheared beaver blanket for the first quarter of 2027, and perhaps a sheared mink one for Christmas.

Welcome back! It's good to take a break from things, in general. 

If it's not too much trouble, we'd love to see some pictures of those blankets when you get them. I'm considering getting something similar for our bedroom. I think a short-haired blanket might be more versatile, not be 'too hot', and shed less than a long-haired blanket.

Thank you so much for your reply, it's really adorable. Oh yes, a break is always a positive thing to comeback for a new fur season full of positive vibes... 

Of course, when I received my blankets, I will post pictures. Normally, I received the muskrat blanket this week. It's not a big one but the blanket would be great for the sofa in the living room.

The sheared beaver blanket would be a fantastic masterpiece of softness on the bed, perfect for relaxing with a book. Naturally, sleeping in warmth and softness during the cold seasons and chilly mornings. I really appreciate a lightweight fur that provides pleasant warmth without being stifling unlike my wolf fur blanket; that one is certainly very warm, but it is heavier and, above all, huge...

Hey, tell more about the beaver blanket, is it plucked to be very soft ? where did you order it from ? I am from germany and tried on obtaining a plucked and sheared beaver blanket for years now - but it seems to be onobtainable in europe (you can get sheared beaver, but I want plucked and sheared to have a lightweight yet very durable and warm fur ...)

Yeah, the beaver blanket is sheared one. I ordered it from "Lars Paustian". Durable and warm are both rules important for enjoying a fur blanket, the comfort starts with weight, which enhances the versatility and beauty of sheared fur blankets. 

It's a real pleasure to see the beaver becoming a masterpiece of softness and elegance. I'm really happy and impatient to stroke the blanket... Mink and beaver are stunning in sheared version and I'm not shy about the idea of using a lot of pelts!
