Dream fur destination(s)

Hey folks,

While I’m certainly not getting married anytime soon, I had an interesting thought — a fur driven honeymoon. I’ve always loved winter destinations, and recently spent time traveling across Scandinavia. I was especially entranced by the vast and beautiful Norwegian wilderness, and the way that, even in 70 degree summer days, there was still snow in the mountains and a general wintery atmosphere to the land, people, and of course, fashion. While there, I saw a ton of furs, skins, and taxidermy — all of which I plan on posting about in another topic shortly — but this experience has me thinking about the possibility of seeking out other similar fur centric destinations, ones that also have intrinsic tourist/experience value as well, since even I can’t just fur shop 24/7 (I probably could, lol!).

So anyways, while Aspen and St. Moritz immediately come to mind, I’m wondering if any of you wonderful fur loving folks would have any suggestions for fur destinations, especially romantic ones, for my future travel plans?

The vibe I’m looking for is a spot where my future wife and I can recline on a bear skin rug after a day of skiing or snowshoeing, or perhaps, shop for her next fur coat and hat?

Scandinavia in winter? Take Helsinki for instance, you can enjoy some days in a beautiful, cool city and take the train north to a lake in a snowy forest. A bit like Canada.

And of course central-eastern and baltic Europe can be quite cold and fur-friendly in winter. You don't have to go to Russia.

While not "romantic" you can definately hit up the snow days festival in Banff and Calgary where you'll get a few days of fur being the hot thing! See all the vids I posted from youtube, every turn of the camera was a fur coat , and it was totally "accepted" so to say... Ive said it before, it can be -40 outside, and I will be the only one in a fur coat around here...  even with mobster wife, I thought fur would come back, but it hasn't... funny thing is searching the local buy and sells, the good fur coats for sale seem to be selling... where they are though, is a different story...
