Something interesting has happened during my move overseas. i've discovered that apparently, webshots have stopped localizing their new additions to one or two pages within the 37,000 results appearing for the word "fur". It's a bit easier to search with something more specific, but finding the new pictures has proven difficult because they are scattered all over the place. I have, however, been keeping track of links that look new...an equally difficult task because I don't yet know how to arrange bookmarks by date on Safari (nor do I know how to avoid duplicate bookmarks).

Flickr, however, has seen the light. There is an option to arrange their search results by date added, making searching there quick and easy. I would suggest you start at Flickr before you tackle Webshots and Photobucket.

There's also been discussion amongst the Mods about including YouTube and other web video links here. I think it's a grand idea, although YouTube videos on the Den is a good way to stimulate traffic and discussion there. YouTube also has an option to arrange search results by date added, but I've noticed that the good fur videos never appear after a direct "fur" search...an even better reason to include a YouTube archive on this site.

What do you think of creating a Sticky here that archived every single web video link anyone finds, rather than a requirement that video links be posted in this board?

I had not seen this topic when I mentioned about a link to UTubes in Wiki. Actually, I really think that it is best to keep them in the Library where they can be indexed out and much easier to find. In here, they are either in one long, long post, or another is started, and soon they are lost in the maze forever. There when things get conjested we can just reindex and keep all out front. However, we could make a post in here to do the collecting, and then move them to the Library.

For now we will keep that in the main Den as that is where it was started. But we may move it here in a short while.
