How many different..

Had a long boring drive to-day, and was idly adding up in my head how many different types of fur and leather i have had over the years.. the animals they came from, not the colours, so fox , or mink etc, counts as one, whatever the colour. I get my total to 20. Can anyone beat that? Thats how bored i am!

The only fur that I’ve never masturbated with is sable. That’s using broad definitions of fur - fox, mink, and raccoon, etc.

My least favorite was raccoon - too course and rough.

My favorite is fox - just the right combination of softness and thickness.

Biggest disappointment was chinchilla - so soft I really couldn’t feel it.

Biggest surprise is rabbit - a very satisfying fur!

Samoyed dog pelt? Sounds lovely as does the tiger. By musk I assume musk ox?

Having there be so many different morphs of fox, all different in texture and "softness," it would be silly to not count each variation. Shadow fox is wildly different than say a silver. Cross and Bluefrost are the exact same breed but differ wildly due to the dying process. Cross fox feels nothing like silver. Marble is softer than Cross or Silver.. and so on.

Makes me sound like a rank amateur, with a score of 20.

My ”count” is even lower than that. But does it matter? Of course not. My love of fur is not defined by comparing to others.

No, of course not. I was just trying to add things up as i was driving to london a while back. The M1 is so boring. It helps concentration. I can think of some furs i’d like to own but haven’t .. like sable, chinchilla & fisher.

hopefully well get a cold winter this year, see plenty of furs out. I’m full of ‘flu just now & nipped to the supermarket in my mink lined leather coat. Nobody noticed & batted an eyelid. First time its been out this year
