kev86 Posted December 6 Posted December 6 (edited) Our official fur spotter, hahaha... Beautiful woman's wrapped in mink, two coats, two styles and a lot of charms. I find the one most elegant in the design, so refined and beautiful quality of mink pelts... The second coat is really beautiful with the hood, a real charm... What about you my friend, do you wore your fur during this day ? Thank you for sharing these fur ladies ! Edited December 6 by kev86 1

I am keeping my eyes peeled to get one that is relatively new and at a reasonable price. I could see my wife being more open to wearing a more 'modern' styled mink like that, instead of your typical 'vintage' style. 1

I'm totally agree with you, the first coat is beautiful with a modern style, this is more actual but if we appreciate a long mink, the style continues to be modern. I'm really happy for you to read it, great for your wife to have different mink style and enjoy her collection for her pleasure and your pleasure ! 1

Not many members share this love for mink fur. Many members talk more about fox. Edited December 8 by kev86

Just yesterday I saw a gorgeous girl in her 20s taking photos in front of a brownstone in a marvelous red fox coat, and then shortly after I saw a women in a sable coat walking down the street. And I’ve seen a few others too over the past couple of weeks. Maybe we are in for a very furry winter! Which area of New York City do you usually see the most furs? I know New York is big with many areas, so if I ever visit I want to go to the right area. Especially since there are some I'd probably rather avoid haha
kev86 Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Today, I went to see some friends who are antique dealers; one of my mink coats actually came from them... The weather was typical for this time of year, very foggy and humid, a cold climate that perfectly called for fur! Here's a photo of my friend wearing her magnificent mink coat. The coat is absolutely stunning, the fur is shiny and incredibly soft! A true work of art! 1 1
blakeymikey Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Real fur is definately making a come back for sure. Even here in bristol in the uk. Nice to see

kev86 Posted December 17 Posted December 17 I know that next Sunday, i'm going to a professional antique fair to look for some magnificent contemporary leather armchairs... This fair brings together professionals specializing in furniture, paintings, tableware, watches, furs, and luxury leather goods... Last year I almost succumbed to temptation and bought a crocodile wallet! Another advantage is seeing so many ladies wearing furs. I remember last December, I saw some truly beautiful mink coats (the hoods, the quality of the pelts were incredible), there were blue fox hats with magnificent volume, silver fox fur, and many men were wearing reversible furs (mink and rabbit). I'm eager to see if there will be any furs on Sunday... The weather forecast is unfortunately looking mild for mid-December! 1

kev86 Posted December 21 Posted December 21 Finally, this morning was sweet and light, not cold, not wind just humidity. I was wrapped in my mink trench, so soft and comfy. I don't see any ladies wrapped in fur, just 3 ladies wrapped in sheepskin coats and mittens! But I'm not surprised, today is officially the first day of winter season, maybe i see more of fur during January... I recovered my sofas! I'm really happy...
pnwhist Posted Tuesday at 09:28 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:28 PM (edited) Last Sunday: Walked by the coat check for a musical- and there was a 3/4 length “patch work” Fox Coat just hanging there. Mostly white-clad, with random dark colored patches here and there - a piece I’ve never seen before. Visually for all patrons to feast over and yell- “Yes, real fur is still ‘alive’ and well in 2025 and I am proof.” As I sat in my seat, I was wondering/picturing what beautiful lady was adorning this exquisite piece? After the event was over, I circled back to the coat check to catch one last glimpse of a rarity but alas it was gone… 😞 Only to reveal at the downstairs lobby the actual lady adorning it - beautiful young medium height blonde with long wavy hair - who couldn’t be past her early 20’s. The real victory here is knowing that my wife also saw the fur worn at these public outings reducing whatever concerns of her wearing one of her collection out the next time around. There were full clad faux ones as well, although my mind automatically tunes those out. 🙂 With the coat being beyond the classic fur stylings that we’re so accustomed to - really hoping it’s a new offering from a new designer and that young lady can help normalize and influence the fashion piece to her social circles. Long live slightly upscale social events that require women to brave the cold elements and adorn such gorgeous material. Edited Tuesday at 09:37 PM by pnwhist 3 2
kev86 Posted Wednesday at 10:06 AM Posted Wednesday at 10:06 AM That so beautiful and your feedback is great! I'm hoping for next week and months to see lady wrapped in real fur... Always great to see a young lady who are proud of wearing fur especially real ones. A great fox coat, i don't see many "patchwork" fox coat. Your wife is ready for a wonderful winter wrapped in her fur! Sound like a wonderful fur season... This morning the wind was brutal, felt like negative temperature! I see many ladies wearing fur but only faux fur, so bad... I hope during the end of the week, the opportunity to see a lady wearing a real fur becoming a reality...
FullLengthFox Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Last week a lady on the plane, dark skin with her hair tied backwards, wearing a full length black fox fur coat. I had to look closely because in black there are many convincing looking faux ones, but I saw it was real fur when she passed me in the aisle. 1 1
dongleboy Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Seen today… The two young women are obviously wearing cheap furs but at least they are not afraid to nail their colours to the mast! I can’t make up my mind if the other photo is real or fake. Any thoughts? 2
