Webshots 2006 Photo Diary, Chapter IV: March 8 - April 12

The fourth installment of our diary continues right where the last one left off, at the tail end of Fur Season '06 in the eastern US. During this time, I did most of my rapid-fire picture searching actually in fur, windows open, curtains drawn, on whatever frigid night that I could spare. This past March, I came across an online site much like this one that focuses on people in the world who happen to be born Royal. Now, I had to sign up for a free membership in order to view the pictures, and I recommend that you do as well. Those Royals love their furs.

Goodness gracious Joe! Do you have nothing but time on your hands? Not that I'm complaining though of course.

Haha...actually, I did most of the work months ago when I compiled all these links into a massive folder in my web browser. All it takes to make a photo diary is a word-processing file, about forty-five minutes, and fast hands. I used to post the links and write captions as I found them, but sometimes the site would crash mid-post, deleting everything I had spent hours searching for. This time-delayed method is a better system because I can keep track of my findings that aren't CoC-friendly...but caption lines are another story. I don't know...it would really be great if a few of my fellow Mods would step up to the plate, take 20 minutes or so and help a brother out with at least one group of links.

Whats with the issue of all these pictures having some reference to 'pimps'. Is the assumption wearing a fur makes you a prostitute? Bizzare. Have to say some of those images are wonderful, perhaps people just need to shake the 'image' of fur use out of their mind and realise how beautiful it is....

Also here's a crop of my outright favorite of the bunch. I just find these two women trying on identical furs to be really hot.* If I could will it, then every time two women wanted to get married**, then buying each other (nearly) identical furs would replace engagement rings.

* Yes, I've seen fashion models do that, but a) it's really clear they are just posing, and b) the furs are rarely identical.

** Includes lesbians, bisexuals, pansexuals, trans women, and even nonbinaries, because I don't want to leave anyone out of the fun here.***

Well it is around Christmastime in those pics.

But fur is just as often about the glamor as much as warmth. See how popular fur was among the Hollywood golden age, and cold temperatures are famously rare in Los Angeles.

@LordTheNightKnightThank you so much for these they are awesome!! I had completely forgotten about some of those. I love those fox fur ones the most. I'm totally with you on the lesbians who could buy furs for each other. Have you ever had the fortune to meet any bisexual or lesbian women who owned or liked real fur? I have never been able to as it seems like such a rarity, but I am very interested to find out if any exist.

Unfortunately it seems at the moment fur is largely popular in areas that are not friendly to LGBT+ people.
