Fur Identification

Can anyone identify this fur? The first photo most accurately shows the colour, but the other photos show it in direct sunlight for better identification.

My guess is dark ranch mink, but I'm not sure. It might be sable? It is VERY very thick, plush, and soft, thicker and softer than any high-end mink I've ever felt. It might be a dark sable?

From the picture and your description it is sable. It displays the much longer guard hairs of sable as opposed to mink.

Thank you so much everyone for your insight and votes. I think you are right, that it is sable. It does also have long guard hairs as mentioned by Lynxette. I love how soft & cushiony this fur is!
