Guest Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 Any members here have experience with mink fur that has been sheared, but not plucked? What I mean is that both the underfur and the guard hair have been sheared. This is different from when the guard hairs have been removed and then the underfur is sheared. It's also different from when the guard hairs have been removed and the underfur left as is. I have felt mink fur that has been sheared, but not plucked. It feels rather coarse. Tricia
White Fox Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I would doubt that they would use that very often for the reason mentioned. Way too much work to make a coat to spoil it because of that one short cut.
