Zaphod_bee Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 To all the professionels in the forum: doesn´t it look like mink on the inside !? ... this really is a quite nice piece of clothing - I especially like the natural and casual look !! Zaphod_bee
samurman Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 The same coat I think, but on a much colder day... It seems the photographer kept focusing on the snowflakes instead of her:)
White Fox Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Indeed. Interesting coat! By the way. Couple of friends of mine lived near them on a lake. They had about 40 neighbors in that area. No one could stand them. If they saw them in the store for instance they would drive by and not go in until they left, etc. W

Zaphod_bee yes it is not quite shearling. it is in fact, mink with a sueded hide on the outside. very much more supple and pricey than shearling.
itsend Posted October 29, 2010 Author Posted October 29, 2010 I don't think it's the same coat ??? This lady has class. Multiple.
FrBrGr Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 I don't think it's the same coat ??? This lady has class. Multiple. It's definitely the same coat . . .
White Fox Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 To me the giveaway on this one is the way that the coat is almost made to look "worn out". Kind of like it is ripped around the edge of the hood. It is always interesting that you might see someone wearing a shirt made from material that recreates a ripped up sack of C and D sugar, or genes that are purposely made to look prefaded and washed to death. This coat is siimilar to me at least. And, I don't think that is very common, so I agree with FrBrGr above. To me it is indeed probably a very expensive coat as Furcoatman mentioned too. Most of the time recreations like that are in fashion. W

Worker 11811 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Goldie Rocks? That's an old Chinese fairy tale, isn't it?
FurLoverinFL Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 Having had a couple of beers before I posted that, it never occurred to me how funny that sounded! FLinFL
samurman Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I have just stumbled on this photoset where Goldie Hawn is wearing a nice white mink stole and did not want to open a new thread so here goes: Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn New York premiere of 'Nine' sponsored by Chopard at the Ziegfeld Theatre, NYC (14.12.09) edit: a few more closeups: ... and this is how an army of photographers confront celebrities on these photo ops:
