Anyone Seen This Play?

How odd. It was blank when I clicked the link and a quick search of the archive (article was from 1989) did not turn it up. I'll have to check again this evening. Basically it was a play about three furriers (husband and wife and family friend) set in a fur salon.

Apparently you need to have an account with NY Times to see the review (not sure how I got through their security protocol the first time).

I did a quick site search and did not see any previous references to this show.

Here's a review of a different production I found on the web:

The scene is the exclusive London fur salon of Bodley and Crouch ...

JG,

I thought this title was familiar. It was a British film from 1973 and although not a great farce it did at least have a good few period furs in. Hopefully they might have updated the setting and the furs since.

Further details are here on IMDB:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070459/

Addendum: a quick search through Google shows that it's fairly common on the local theatre circuit in the US, UK and Australia. Might be worth checking your local listings if you want to try and catch it.

Regards,

Mr Mockle

Thanks for the tips! Will have to check it out. Love the notion that the stage set (I'm assuming) would be a luxe fur salon. Ideally one could catch it in New York, Chicago, DC, etc., where they would have a large pool of furs to draw from for "decor".

I bought it a while back on someone's recommendation here.

Kind of a ditsy British humor show. Some pretty nice furs from time to time in it.
