Kay fur fashion Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) I’m interested to see what people prefer… Fox furs are undeniably beautiful. The voluptuousness screams dominance and sexiness. There’s a reason Fox is the most popular fur. but I just cannot help but adore the more “luxury” furs such as lynx and chinchilla and sable. Seeing women in fur coats that can cost 60 or 70 thousand US dollars (and some white belly lynx even close to 100k) is just amazing. There’s a sexiness to this level of extravagance that is different than Fox furs (not necessarily better, just different) Let me know what you prefer and why. And yes I’m using this as an excuse to post some wonderful furs ❤️ Edited January 2 by Kay fur fashion 7
shyfurwriter Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I must say I love most furs with each having its own sensations and beauty. Fox is my favorite not only for the soft-n-fluffy factor but I find it visually appealing. I also enjoy the wide variety of colors as well as the attainability. Just some of the reasons I will always love fox. 4
kev86 Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I prefer fox fur because it's a more voluminous fur that flatters a woman in a unique way. I don't mind the other furs, but I don't see the point in paying exorbitant sums for furs that serve only to display social status for most of their owners, who are usually Russian... Fox fur, without a doubt! 2

Pelts1698431643 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I bought a Chinchilla head band few years back. Sent it back the next day because i didn't like the texture. Chinchilla is too soft, for me it literally feels like a cloud like nothing.
FoxFurStory_35 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 (edited) I am definitely into thick fox furs with silver fox being my favourite. Such a dramatic, luxurious and overwhelming beautiful look. I am especially fond of a huge collar that frames a woman’s face in the soft fox fur. I find the less skin I can see the sexier the look is. Lynx belly fur would be another favourite, but it’s way out of our price range. But I’ll view lynx photos any day. Edited January 3 by FoxFurStory_35 3
Chrisfurlover Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Canadian lynx all the way! Best of both worlds. Super voluptuous like a silver fox pelt would while being softer than any fox could imagine being. 3
kev86 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Yeah, Canadian lynx is really beautiful and voluptuous. The mix of colours is just so beautiful. I don't imagine how the fur is incredible warmth... The Belly lynx is beautiful in the volume but I'm not fan of the natural colour! 1
FullLengthFox Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I can really relate to the previous posts here. My favourite fur types are the most fluffy ones, but I really appreciate a large variety. I have mostly fox but I also love raccoon and certainly lynx which is both fluffy and extremely soft. 3
WinnipegFur Posted January 3 Posted January 3 Owning Lynx and fox , I prefer the look of a silver fox.. But I love seeing the wind whip through Lynx fur and seeing those gaurd hairs blow around.. To wear out on a daily basis I do raccoon or coyote... save the fox/lynx for a few days... Finn raccoon looks incredible as well.... 1 1
Panther10 Posted January 3 Posted January 3 I’ve been wearing foxes for nearly 20 years exclusively and I’ve never once gravitated towards short haired furs. Short haired furs like minks and sable are more meant to be worn as fashion statements because they don’t have the requisite amount of insulation to protect someone in the harsh extreme cold temps that most of the interior of the US states experience during the winter months. Therefore fox is better. Lynx is also a good choice but I’ve never seen lynx widely available at any furrier in the US the last 20 years and is only available via special request and is ludicrously expensive to import. Lynx is still very popular in more Nordic climates like in Canada, Russia and Europe and maybe some stores across the Western part of the US. But for the most part lynx is a rare sight 1

I did get a knit rabbit fur sweater from furhatworld back in the fall they had on sale.. it definately adds an extra layer of warmth to the mink.. it does shed pretty bad though... 1

But for the most part lynx is a rare sight it is true that a long-haired fur is warmer for colder and extreme temperatures. In France at the moment the temperature is (-4C). The Mink fits perfectly, especially being reversible, I absolutely don't feel the cold, but if I lived in Canada or certain states of the United States, I would prefer a fox or coyote coat... It all depends on the climate and also how the cold feels. The principal reason why i search a fox fur coat, i would like travelling to the Finland and Canada during winter... 1
Efferus33 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 On that subject are there any European country where it is common to have fox coats in fur shops? In France and Italy I’ve mostly only seen minks. I would prefer trying some before buying. The only furries I’ve seen selling fox where greek online shops like samaras. 1

I saw someone at Milady, but they're a furrier who caters to a rather elite clientele. My experience was quite negative; their values don't align with mine, and their models are Russian. I'm not likely to become a customer... I'm looking more at vintage options, but finding a fox fur in 3XL isn't easy, so I'll probably look in Germany or Switzerland! Edited January 4 by kev86 1
Nexii Posted January 4 Posted January 4 It's a good question. Do you say the appeal is the look, or the cost, or some combination? Purely on look, it's about a tie between silver fox and belly lynx for me. Cost well the top two would be lynx again and sable not far behind. 3
Kay fur fashion Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 There’s also the Siberian Lynx fur coat, which has the volume of a fox/Canadian lynx while retaining the pure white of the belly lynx. and it is extremely expensive. Here is one from a furrier in Russia that lists it for 12 million rubles (equivalent to about 150,000 USD) https://mexasandradolina.ru/katalog/shuba-zhenskaya/shuba-iz-ryisi/model-1281 1 1
Nexii Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Yea. And then there's fantasy furs like snow leopard or even into fictional territory. I had a story concept once that was like special fur that could only be grown from like human or elf victims. Something more exotic/involved than just hunting 1
kev86 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Russian furriers don't have too much trouble since they use an animal found within their territory... The price is exorbitant, and honestly, even with a bank account, I wouldn't buy that fur.
Panther10 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Yeah Russian lynx is so expensive. I’ve never seen one in person before but when I used to work at the AK fur gallery. I had asked my boss how much would a coat like that cost if I had one made in my preferred size? And would my employee discount be able to carve off a significant chunk of the price. And my boss told me it would cost about $210k. ive never desired to purchase a lynx since then 1
Nexii Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Yea well it gets to a price where you would be too anxious to enjoy it in bed! It is fine, really. I'll stick to stories since I have a strong imagination.
Kay fur fashion Posted January 4 Author Posted January 4 To me it’s almost like comparing two different things. I love the way big fox furs look and make you feel. The dominance and sexual energy is unparalleled. And I love the expensiveness/glamorousness with sables and chinchillas and lynxes. It’s a fashion statement and a statement of wealth. Especially some of these girls on Instagram that seem to have tons of these kinds of furs. But I’m realizing now that they’re different to me, like comparing apples to oranges.

I think to some degree, it's always a bit of both. Hard to say it's just the concrete look or just the abstract concepts around fur. I would say discussions like this and the recent survey did get me thinking wrt stories, both are very important to hit on Edited January 4 by Nexii
gai Posted January 4 Posted January 4 It's a great question. They're all amazing and gorgeous, both to wear and see worn. I'm fortunate enough to own all the choices. But if I had to pick one I'd probably say a nice big fox. Still looks the best, feels the best, and the most affordable. Owning a white belly lynx next is my dream.
