Fur fetish in Australia

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, have got a quick questions I want some advice on.

Me and my girlfriend are looking into potentially moving to Australia. We now live in The Netherlands, and frequently use fur in the bedroom mainly for my pleasure. Coats, mittens, etc.

Since our holiday to Australia, the thought of going back for longer lingers in our minds, and I was wondering how the “fur (fetish) scene” is over there. On my holiday I saw a lot of Sheepskin/fur which I also really like, but no fox etc.

can anyone tell me more about this? DM is open.

Understandably, our climate doesn't lend for much of a fur fetish scene here, per se, but there's enough glimpses of it around when the weather does get cold enough during winter.

If going by here is an example, you can tell on sheer numbers that it's not something very prevalent but that also depends to an extent on where you look. Do you know where in Australia you'd be looking to move to? I'm Sydney-based and it's not uncommon to come across the odd glimpse of fur during the particularly cold times but if you're expecting/hoping to see foxes and the like worn around, that's more a near once-in-a-decade kind of thing (if it's real fur being worn, it's usually mink or rabbit I've seen. Faux fur is far more common).

Melbourne has a more colder climate that one would think would be more suited for furs but for the times I've been down there on business during the dead of winter, I'm yet to see any fur ever worn (did once see a black mink being worn in Canberra a few years back).

If there's anything specific you want to know more about that I haven't addressed above, feel free to flick me a DM. Happy to chat more

We’re aiming for a little more north. Brisbane area. I’ll get in touch in DM if I want more info.  Thanks!

With all due respect, furs and Brisbane won't work unless you're happy to being primarily confined to wearing your furs only indoors with the A/C on. In the last decade or so, the climate has turned very much sub-tropical there and if it's not the heat that rules out furs, it'll absolutely be the humidity

I live in Brisbane and keep mostly sheepskin and ugg boots however have a nice collection of a fox fur coat, hats and stoles. Brisbane is warm and winter is really only felt for 2 months.

Let me fix that for you... "winter" is really only felt for 2 months 😝

I've got relatives in Brisvegas and winter up there and winter down here aren't really comparable (hence why I usually visit them in July/August)

Yep, can confirm not much fur action up here in QLD.

Except maybe at my place X
