Interesting video.  I got the impression that the general tone was anti-fur although it was good to see those wealthy women standing up for their rights.  It’s always amazed me that women of that generation allowed themselves to be bullied out of wearing fur.

Thank you, Dongleboy. I completely agree with you; this video reflects two contrasting themes.

The anti-fur section is present and shows a form of harassment and censorship directed at women.

The other section shows women who embrace their love for fur and the pride of wearing it... This singer speaks lovingly of her mink coat and clearly expresses her happiness! Also, the woman with the stunning lynx coat—it's perfectly clear that animal welfare isn't a priority, and the fur pays homage to her elegance and beauty!

I find the story of her late husband, who desperately wanted to give her a fur coat, truly beautiful; the letter is very moving.

The letter and the coat are two very precious treasures...

Despite the harmful presence of activists, fur still retains its prestige and an important place in the wardrobes of those who love this noble and elegant material...

Real fur forever!!!

Didn’t that sad little man mark glover commit suicide in the end? Lovely film. I enjoyed every minute of it.. I’m pleased fur is making a comeback, people are jolly fed up with self appointed guardians of public morality going around telling people what to do.

I watched this documentary when it was first broadcast in February 1990 and, obviously, that one minute or so of Era Pinto modelling & talking about her three Furs became my favourite bit of the whole thing!

Oh fabulous, this video is fabulous for a young generation who loves fur. I'm totally agree with you, The part of "Era Pinto" is just furtastic, hahaha.

When she talked about her lynx, we understand her pleasure to wear it with elegance, confidence and happiness! She doesn't care about lynx and she doesn't have a shyness for talking about it...

When a lady loves her fur, animals are not invited to give a opinion...

I have mixed feelings as I do think this video is anti- fur focusing on older women and the past they were lucky enough to experience.  Wendy who finds fur erotic is labeled  "fur mad." The other ladies have to try and justify enjoying their furs as they confess to feeling intimidated for wearing them. I find bullies shameful.  I liked all the ladies, especially Wendy as I can relate to the way she talks about fur. Era Pinto was adorable when she said she was very grateful to the lynx! I always had a thing for Eartha Kitt. I find her sensual and sultry. I enjoyed seeing her bathed in all those foxes.

I like to remain positive with the interest in vintage fur. BUT even if fur makes a limited comeback sooner or latter new pelts will be needed. I understand it is an overly emotional subject for many people when they see a mink or fox in a cage knowing the fate that awaits it. BUT that is no excuse to impose their will into law. Unfortunately some states in America and other countries want to, or have banned fur farming. I have empathy as well as gratitude for all creatures that become our food and clothing. That said, I do so love furs!  I much rather see any fur bearing animal become a fur garment to pamper  someone's need for warmth, sensual softness or whatever else is required.
The fur "industry", especially in the U.S. must rebuild not only its image but replenish quality furriers. I believe it can be done with responsibly and perhaps open the door to "mom and pop" businesses.

I understand that but concerning Europe and fur business, we don't see any intentions for rebuilding the fur business. European commission want definitely destroy it. Clothing fur farm and furrier, i don't see a positive issue with this mentality...

I hope the business will be saved for vintage fur. People want see the real fur ban but we don't talk about fast fashion and China industry, i think many animals are killed by this business and humanity values are not respected.

We don't want see the reality...

I love real fur clothing much, I just want it to continue.

Since we're on the topic of vintage fur becoming popular, check out the comment section of this video. We have a bunch of people (mostly women) promoting vintage real furs over faux fur. We're winning in turning the anti-fur narrative around!
