kev86 Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 (edited) Part of "Dongleboy" story made me want to reconnect with this community! Kev, short for Kevin. I was born and still live in France, and I'm proud to be French above all else. I was born in the same town as my grandparents, but I've since moved to a quieter place that still has a vibrant atmosphere. I dropped out of school at 16 because I found it very boring, so I went to work as a newspaper vendor. Later, I sold cars, construction materials, and then I ended up in real estate. The real estate sector has always interested me because of its dynamism and competitive nature. I'm a competitor and I love it. I specialize in prestigious properties like townhouses, chalets, and so on. I work long hours, but I earn a very good living and enjoy a comfortable life with my family and friends. "Monaco" or "Saint-Moritz"—I couldn't care less. That world doesn't interest me and doesn't align with my upbringing or values. I come from a middle-class family where we had to make ends meet. I don't regret where I come from because I learned the importance of hard work and determination. I've always prioritized family in my life; it's essential for happiness and fulfillment. I'm not someone who spends a lot, even on fur. I treat myself, but excess isn't my style, nor is it in my vocabulary. I'm not some Russian in Courchevel, hahaha... However, I do spend a lot of weekends at the Nürburgring in the Eifel region with the German community. My first passion has been cars and racetracks since my teens, a passion passed down from my grandfather! I own a BMW Z3M that belonged to my grandfather, and I also have a BMW M4 for track days and drives. Ferraris are for people who can't take three corners with their foot to the floor... Fur is part of my life and in my DNA. It took me a while to feel completely confident enough to wear my furs in public. Now, I'm very happy and enjoying it to the fullest. Fur gives you style, a certain flair, and a boost of confidence... It's like being galvanized when you snuggle up in one of my coats! Indeed, many members will have noticed that I have a strong affinity for mink fur, although I'm also open to fox and coyote fur. I find the Sable and the Chinchilla too expensive and too fragile... The story of "Dongleboy" reminded me that the starting point doesn't define the ending point of our lives... Coming from a modest background is often the best way to reach your full potential in life... Coming from a wealthy background isn't necessarily a good way to end up wealthy; it all depends on the upbringing you receive and the values passed down to you! Today I know where I come from and I know where I'm going, especially how I'm going to get there... Always be proud of our life and don't be a copy of others... Edited December 15, 2025 by kev86 7
saynotofaux Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Fur has always had some kind of allure for me, it’s the total opposite of my day to day life working in heavy engineering where everything is made of cold hard steel. If i hadn’t have gone into engineering, I would have liked to have trained as a furrier. 1 2

Cold hard metal airplanes, the stench of jet fuel and other fluids like hydraulic and brake fluid contrasts so heavy against the soft and silky embrace of a fur coat and the beautiful smell each fur has. Whether it be fresh from the furrier after getting glazed, or having a loved one’s perfume stamped into it. I think that’s why I love fur so much tbh, it’s just such a difference compared to day to day life like you said. 3 1

It's true that the contrast with your jobs, which are unsuitable for fur despite temperatures that would justify it, and the very soft and warm atmosphere of a fur shop and a profession that reflects softness and comfort on a daily basis... It's true that I myself don't wear fur much at work because it's not appropriate and could easily be damaged. However, outside of work, I take full advantage of it. Right now, the temperatures are below freezing, and I love walking around in fur while it's still dark; the atmosphere is pleasant and, above all, peaceful! The combination of a mink coat, rabbit-lined gloves, and a Rex rabbit scarf creates a wonderful atmosphere in the icy wind... 1 1

Santa blessed Texas this year with an 80°f Christmas instead of a white one. It has been absolutely aweful and I haven’t been able to wear any of my furs out this year besides a north face bomber jacket that I recently replaced the faux fur trim hood with black fox fur. I’m hoping January or February will be out cold months 1

I’m hoping January or February will be out cold months Thank you, Hahaha... Many French regions were lucky enough to see snow covering the atmosphere for Christmas day, a fabulous surprise! The last year I saw snow was 2013. Really good to see you replaced it by a beautiful black fox fur, it's more beautiful and soft... I hope for next months you have a freezing weather and the opportunity to enjoying your fur on the street and at home! I love walking wrapped in fur during the morning when the sun comes slowly and you have a brutal wind, the atmosphere is really calm and give a sentiment to be privileged... A real winter season is just the best time for enjoying our passion and enjoying our beautiful fur coat, especially when a new fur coat comes at the home... Edited December 26, 2025 by kev86 1
