Replacing faux fur with real fur for winter jacket hood

Howdy yall,

Well, Mark at bespokefurfashion on instagram has really inspired me to pursue and acquire a new type of fur to our collection. After chatting with him about his massive fur hoods he has made for his arctic army jackets and such, I have decided to get my own but with a twist.

Currently the new fur project is to buy a North Face brand McMurdo bomber jacket for the sole purpose of replacing the existing faux fur trim with Canadian lynx fur and make it double if not triple the size as the old one as well as extend it past the normal top part onto the entire side of the hood.

Current problems I’m facing is finding a furrier who is able to source Canadian lynx as well as take on the project and ship it to the United States with all the proper paperwork. The other issue finding the right color jacket to match the Lynx.

I have already reached out to Jinny of Lamontagnedunord on Instagram (someone famous for these crazy transformations but sadly she is not able to ship to the U.S.

I have talked to my go to guy Eugene at Ofurs and he has agreed to take on the project and is excited about it. The only problem is that an order being shipped to the lovely Luna Leopard got seized during the customs process and will never reach its intended destination. I have yet to talk to my local furrier but am optimistic.

I am coming to yall to ask your opinion on the color jacket for this Lynx fur hoods transformation. I’ve included a couple pictures of my crude photoshopping skills based on one of Jinny’s custom Lynx orders from the past. Let me know what you think.
