My wolf parka is getting old... lastnite when I put it back on the hangar I pushed it into the closet and felt my finger seperate the pelt by the zipper...  Raccoon coat lining is also seperated at the top so took it to the furrier this morning.. they werent officially open but she told me if I got there in the next 45 mins they could let me in to drop them off.. She said they were basically back logged with repairs and busy, and would be a few weeks, but she'd make sure shed squeeze my repairs in... some nice coats in there that are owned.. I made the comment about oh people are actually wearing fur again, she said not new, but people are buying used and they always need repairs.. Got in a conversation about that briefly with her, we started talking about fox coats, she said that those are actually the worst ones for repair (or people wanting repair) she said the leather is generally only good 25-30 years then it just can't be repaired without alot of work... I know this for a fact...  now Im wolf parka and raccoon coatless for a week... better go find another raccoon in the stash LOL

This is really great for you to find the time for talking with the furrier, really good to hear your furrier are a lady...

This is great for your raccoon coat. Surely, you are impatient to see the coat come back at home...

Great if you enjoy your wolf parka. I imagine the feeling of your wolf parka, so fluffy !

Personally, I ordered from the furrier a Rex scarf double-sided, I'm impatient to wear it on the street...

Well, what happened to the Lynx?

Ug, total bummer and yes, all our foxes are in various forms of repair or disrepair. The Silver Fox is totally useless for the wife to wear out and the blue fox probably one has 1 or 2 outings left. 😞 I think she’s excited though to see it convert to a blanket. 🙂

May need to invest in a blush or Golden Island fox for the Mrs? 🙂

I’ve been able to wear my fox coats outside for the last couple of weeks. It’s been nice. The weather hasn’t been too cold. It has bounced back and forth from the high teens to the mid 30’s but still once I feel that nip in the air, my furs are the only thing that will keep me warm at this point. Even my warmest synthetic coats become rather useless once the temperatures drop below 40°

I dragged out a raccoon with massive silver fox sleeves yesterday... I went past 2 older ladies in the park walking, I got the eye pop look, but no comments

Even better this morning... what a fur coat score this was... lastnite I checked on facebook market and found an older gentleman selling a full length Coyote coat from Hudson Bay... they had an awesome fur salon here in Winnipeg... I messaged I guess it was the wife running the ad and asked if the coat was still available.. she said it was.. I was unable to get anywhere near them lastnite, so asked if shortly after 7AM this morning on the way to work would be OK.. she said it would be... they live in an apartment complex.. I think they actually are the land lords.. she asked if meeting them in the lobby would be OK, I agreed... anyways I arrive at 7AM to be met by the wife in the lobby bundled up wearing a black mink jacket and the husband sitting with the coyote on... when he stood up the length of the coat totally blew my mind... I tried it on right away and me being 6'1 the coat is literally touching my ankles.. she then pulled out a coyote headband and insisted I try that on with the coat... all she kept saying was it looks so good on you... so for $400 I left wrapped up in a coyote coat down to my ankles and a coyote headand... I proceeded to the park for my morning walk but didnt come across anyone... Ive never had a coat this long.. Ive had a coyote and a fox coats hit mid shin, but this coat is simply amazing... I messaged them back mid morning and thanked them again for the coat and told her I went for a walk in the park and the coat is amazing.. once again she said it looks so good on you and wear it!

Oh congratulations to you for this fabulous opportunity, great to see you bought a coyote fur coat and you enjoyed it directly after on the park...

Really nice to see the lady wrapped in a mink jacket, a real confidence between a couple who appreciate fur and you my friend!

A long fur coat is always a beautiful experience and surely it's a special feelings to be wrapped in fur entirely...

I purchase a coyote fur coat since long time, I missed the last year a fabulous opportunity with a white coyote fur coat, i hope find a new opportunity in few months...

Older ladies are always fun, it's a generation who accept the fur, normally... Don't worry, you look stunning wrapped in adorable raccoon or coyote!!!

Congratulations on the coat! Thanks for sharing the story with us. It's a bit of a thrill to buy a fur from another fur-appreciator.

This reminds me of one of my favourite coats (also a full-length coyote) that I bought a few years ago from a local furrier, an older man who does his work in his garage. The pelts are very soft and thick and I got it for a steal - only $500! I'll post a pic of it later...

Amazing, you are lucky together, hahaha... You bought it for a good price honestly!

Do you appreciate to wear it during cold weather ?

I search a coyote full-length since long time but I missed one last year! Not easy to find a coyote full length...

Weve got a Blizzard warning in effect here now... a foot of snow coming and some nasty wind... My Wolf Parka and Raccoon coat are ready for pickup as well... so hoping I can beat the weather this afternoon to get them...People forget how to drive around here when it gets bad out, and we deal with it for 6 months a year...

At least I can wrap myself up in one of the coats and wear it home from the furrier this afternoon...

A great opportunity to wearing fur but with this weather don't forget to take care of you...

I never drive with these conditions but I think it would be not easy, you don't have a great visibility...

Enjoying your fur at home and from the furrier!

Yeah, i understand you perfectly  Now this is really to see peoples wrapped in fur...

Personally, the last when the weather around -5 degrees, i don't see ladies wrapped in fur and the most surprising one is to see older ladies wrapped in normal coat and don't wore fur...

I have just one with who I talk really often and she wore her fur proudly... I'm really happy to see her especially during cold weather and winter season...

I got out of work early but the temperature had warmed up to -3 or so and it was actually rain/freezing rain... I was also parked in a really bad spot on a very busy dirty sloppy street... I elected to carry my coats out over my arm and get them in the car on the passenger side away from the street... glad to have my coats back, but we're getting ripped off on the storm...its really doing nothing.. and I like my winter sports...so this is really getting me angry lol

It's impressive, but I lived through that era. My mother's uncle lived in Canada; he was a mechanic at Vancouver Airport...

I went there several times when I was younger. I love Canada; the people are friendlier, and fur has its place!

It has been unusually warm over here the past month or so. We had one week when the temperatures dropped below zero degrees (32 degrees F). That week I wore my full length blue fox every day. But I starting wearing fur to work on a daily basis in October. Everything from my newest parka-style-ish coat with bright red fox trim to shearlings and mink coats. I am hoping it will be cold on New Year’s.

I'm totally agree with you, this is bad for you to have just one week for wore your fabulous full length blue fox.

I had just one week during mid-november for wore my mink coats but when we are a real fur lover this short period is like a teaser for the winter season, I'm hoping like you, sincerely.

We want a real winter season with the cold wind stroking our faces and sub-zero temperatures...

Depends where you are in Canada... big country, every province does its own deal and has its own uniqueness to it.. where I am its pretty boring to be honest... BC or Alberta is where'd ultimately like to be, but unfortunately the cost of living in those provinces is pretty crazy.. a 100K job in Winnipeg will allow you to live pretty comfortably... that in BC and parts of Alberta might land you a spot under a bridge if you're lucky...

I know you, my mother's uncle lived in a small city for find calm and tranquility. The cost of life is really better for him...

Work at the Vancouver airport was a real opportunity for him!

Was it - “is that real fur?” Or “is that a man in a fuzzy coat?” Combine the too… I wonder if that’s not guaranteed a double take 🙂

It's not always easy to understand the reactions of someone who stares at your fur coat for a few minutes…

Is it out of curiosity, anger, or admiration? Personally, when someone looks at my coat, I immediately ask for their reaction or opinion…

-25C it's great for a walk wrapped in fur, a fabulous feeling with the cold when a comfortable coat staying you in a safe and warmth atmosphere...

The older lady was surprised by your coat but she doesn't have a bad reaction!

This afternoon, I was going for the barber shop. The wind is icy and brutal, it's a 20-minute walk between the house and the barber shop.

I wore my mink trench and leather gloves with rabbit inside, the feeling was comfortable and warmth.

I walked with the smile until i met a angry women in the middle age, who explained me a real speech about fur farm and the barbaric soul of people's who wear real fur... I don't listened her arguments and I continued my walk!

After the barber shop I walked to the house, I took a path more long and more calm who followed a river. I met a older lady (maybe 90 years old), she was so smiling and happy wrapped in a wonderful black Mink coat full pelts and a voluminous black fox hats.

I stopped my walk for complimented her fur, she blushed and we began to talk about fur. She was happy to talk about fur and I feel the passion in her voice. She appreciate my mink trench and explained me how she feels in love when a men's wearing real fur. She talked with passion and sincerity...

She explained to me that the black fox hats was a Christmas gift, she love feels fox fur on her face with the brutal wind. The black mink was a gift from her husband who was dead since many years ago.

She asked me if I feel sorry about animals and i reply her with a little smile and I explained my feelings. She was not choked by my explanation!

She explained to me that she had no pity for animals until the last seconds of her life, she wore fur since her 20th...

I hope meet her again next year
