A city of 30,000 inhabitants. I don't see many people wearing real fur in my city...

I see many fur hats wearing by older ladies!

It was +3C when I went out for a walk this morning.. thats 26C above normal for this time of year... it was pretty windy, and it was cooling things down... I hadnt worn my wolf parka much this year so that was todays choice.. glad I did because even at +3 the wind was pretty cold... It was pretty icey walking though.. almost crashed a few times...

No one around the park really.. walked my normal loop then drove over to the duck pond and strolled around a lap.. crossed paths with some guy probably in his 30s who did not look to happy with my coat...Most people in the morning say hello or something.. this dude just stared right through me! haha

Nice! I mean it happens, you’ll never know why.

On another note, I have to tell you it’s fascinating how you use the ellipsis. Sometimes it’s “…” other time “..” . Truly fascinating haha. It brings suspense!

Thanks! It does bring some suspense to the equation!! Gonna be -31C windchill here tomorrow morning, one extreme to the next, so back to full length. Will it be raccoon..coyote.. fox.. maybe pull out the lynx, havent had that bad boy out in a while, that one will definately cause some chaos at the pond! haha

Excellent morning, a peaceful walk is always pleasant. It's great to have a young man accompanying you on your walk, especially if the fur doesn't bother him at all...

The cold will be more intense tomorrow, taking the lynx out isn't a bad idea. Making the angry ones angry is always rather ironic, hahaha... The lynx will really keep you warm!

Last Saturday, I went to the market to buy bread and pastries. I ran into a woman who looked to be about 80 years old; she was wearing a gray faux fur coat. She went to have a coffee at the same café as me.

I took the opportunity to pay for her coffee—a gentlemanly gesture still exists, after all. She thanked me, which led to a conversation. Afterward, I walked her home, and we were able to talk about fur.

She owns a mink coat but doesn't dare wear it because of the criticism and, above all, the fear of being attacked at her age. The faux fur coat is just for her peace of mind.

I think it's a shame for this woman; mink would be so much more flattering.

Well... as much as Id like to say hey, I had an awesome walk wrapped in a fur coat today... its too cold out there for me, even wrapped in fur... its -47 with the windchill here.. I can't bring myself to get out of the car to go for a 20 min walk in that cold!!! I did have a nice drive though in a silver fox jacket, but thats about all the fur venture I have the last few days...  and even with this extreme cold temp.. I have not seen a single fur coat...

This morning I was taking a leisurely walk; it was 2 degrees Celsius and the wind was cold. I met an elderly woman wearing a magnificent raccoon fur coat. The coat was incredibly soft and absolutely beautiful!
We went for a stroll while chatting about fur; it was a truly delightful time with this woman. She was clearly very proud to wear her fur coat.

It's so rare to see women in fur in my city.

I approached her with a compliment; she was pleasantly surprised and then very happy.
It was a wonderful moment. I hope for another lovely walk before the end of winter...

Don't be jealous my friend. Surely, one day you will have a amazing opportunity...

Its nice you get the opportunity...  World has changed alot... maybe its just here, but if you compliment a stranger these days its like you've done something wrong and watch out for the lawsuit! (Well not that extreme, but you get the point) Same with at work, you don't dare even look at someone the wrong way without fear of ending up in the HR office...

admit the world has changed a lot. It's difficult to have a conversation with strangers. I think you also need to smile; a friendly approach goes down better with a stranger. I think you also have to trust your instincts and your feelings about each person.

It's already complicated enough to talk to a woman without attracting all the feminist groups, which are unfortunately negative towards both men and women...

I think being a fur lover makes it much easier to talk to a stranger wearing fur! The person is less likely to have a negative reaction.

Tomorrow morning it will be 1 degree Celsius, so I'm planning on wearing fur. I'm also waiting for my new pair of leather gloves with rabbit fur lining.

Definately agree... its always easier to communicate with someone you share common interests with... like the one time I was walking and the woman complimented me on my coat.. it was out of know where but it was a positive exchange.. its the same with sports... I have to teach alot of new hires at work, and its always easier when you meet a common ground with people.. I don't want to sit there and talk about work all day long.. when breaks come along its opportunity to change subject and talk about interests and hobbies and get to know someone not dedicated to the work environment...

Kev, were you wearing your fur also during your walk?  Maybe she'll be back tomorrow for another walk in her fur since it's so cold out?

Yes, I was wearing my fur coat that day. Besides, it was the first time I'd ever met that lady.

The weather tomorrow is really soft and maybe we'll get some rain. Wednesday, the weather look a bit more cold for see fur outside! Surely, I wear mine fur for going to drink a delicious coffee.

Indeed, the approach differs depending on the environment. It's true that at work, you shouldn't only talk about fur; you need to vary the topics. Since I work alone most of the time, I meet a lot of people, so it's easier to communicate.

Two people wearing fur can more easily discuss this topic; there isn't a specific fear associated with a stranger who isn't wearing fur.

Got out for a quick 15 minute walk this morning wrapped in raccoon... the wind was awful... it was even cutting through that coat ... luckily the colar is so tall it literally traps my face in it :)

Driving home from work I actually had a fur coat sighting.. an attractive older blonde haired woman in a nice puffy 80s/90s style brown fox jacket... Immediate thoughts.. I want that coat..and her!

Ah it's very interesting to see this lady with fox fur. It would have been an opportunity for a discussion, indeed...
The weather was catastrophic this morning, the atmosphere is humid and the mild temperatures make it impossible to go out in furs.

Fortunately, tomorrow's weather looks better for enjoying the comfort of fur.

Good luck to our American friends for this polar storm. Fur is highly recommended.

Today I received my new pair of lambskin gloves with rabbit fur lining.
The color is daring for this pair but I like to vary my styles!!!
perfect comfort and softness for wonderful walks...

I'm really happy with my new gloves, the price is soft, I bought it for $250, and free shipping.

A great morning for a walk in raccoon..I crossed paths with the woman from last year who I talked with.. it all started with a good morning and she said that is a great coat again .. I remember I told you that last spring... She complimented me again and we carried on opposite directions... Since the place we were walking is a loop we crossed paths again and I said where's your fur coat..and we started talking again about fur.. she then asked what type of fur I was wearing and I told her it was raccoon as she took her hand from her glove and rubbed the sleeve.. she kept saying how soft and warm it must be.. I told her I wear fur coats all the time but sometimes you get the people who don't like it..we both laughed about it.. I told her about the full length coyote coat and headband I got for such a low price and how I should have worn it today.. I said maybe tomorrow... So I hope I cross paths with her again in coyote this time...

Oh, that's fantastic! It's a wonderful experience for a truly wonderful day. This lady is really lovely, but where's her fur coat...? Maybe you'll run into her again tomorrow!

Great experience...

Great experience...

Coyote to the ankle coat today with white fox hat, and my coyote mitts lined in sheard beaver... unforunately, no one home during my walk.. I even put in 2 extra loops hoping she would come by! LOL

I did discover there is a consignment shop that has several fur coats in the city, and the women in there who run it love flaunting fur.. bad thing is there hours are very limited 10:30 to 6PM M-Saturday... Tonites -30 low and tomorrow's -20 high and -30 windchill will set up perfect to wear the raccoon or coyote coat tomorrow... If I can sneak out of work early tomorrow I might pop in conveniently wrapped up in fur coat and see what they have..
