The wind is icy and brutal, it's a 20-minute walk between the house and the barber shop. I wore my mink trench and leather gloves with rabbit inside, the feeling was comfortable and warmth. I walked with the smile until i met a angry women in the middle age, who explained me a real speech about fur farm and the barbaric soul of people's who wear real fur... I don't listened her arguments and I continued my walk! After the barber shop I walked to the house, I took a path more long and more calm who followed a river. I met a older lady (maybe 90 years old), she was so smiling and happy wrapped in a wonderful black Mink coat full pelts and a voluminous black fox hats. I stopped my walk for complimented her fur, she blushed and we began to talk about fur. She was happy to talk about fur and I feel the passion in her voice. She appreciate my mink trench and explained me how she feels in love when a men's wearing real fur. She talked with passion and sincerity... She explained to me that the black fox hats was a Christmas gift, she love feels fox fur on her face with the brutal wind. The black mink was a gift from her husband who was dead since many years ago. She asked me if I feel sorry about animals and i reply her with a little smile and I explained my feelings. She was not choked by my explanation! She explained to me that she had no pity for animals until the last seconds of her life, she wore fur since her 20th... I hope meet her again next year Awesome story... My usual early morning walks have been rather bland lately.. usually Id cross paths with someone, lately theres just no one out there... it is rather early, last year I crossed paths with that one lady who like in your meeting stopped and complimented me on my raccoon and said how great it looked and to keep wearing it and not care what anyone thinks.. I keep hoping to meet up with her again, but it hasnt happened... The other park I stop at on the way home where I usually walk around the skating rink.. weve had a really weird winter, it got cold, the ice kind of froze up, but then it snowed on it and made an insulating layer, so the ice froze very strange, and there is no skating pond yet as much as we've had constant days of -20C and lower ... there is a warm up shelter at the pond, but now the warm up shelter just seems to be a hang out point, and some of the people hanging out dont look to friendly so to say... so ive more or less just given up on my skating pond walks for now... Just cant be bothered with the attention... Ill just go find a quiet park path off the side of the road for a walk instead.. That place is best first thing in the morning.. that park usually gets older people in their late 40s-early 60s going for walks in the morning.. the kind that just dont care... this is the park where when I wore fur years ago in the morning I always saw the older woman in the red fox jacket but was too scared to approach... maybe tomorrow morning ill go there instead... 2

Thank you so much, it's just a fantastic moment to meet a older lady for talking about fur... The weather sounds great to wear fur for a morning walk. The winter season is really great for finishing the year wrapped in our fur, we have the luck to begun 2026 wrapped in fur, I hope it's the sign of a beautiful year! I hope you have the opportunity to meet again this fabulous lady for sharing a morning walk. A older lady wrapped in a red fox jacket sounds like a delicious opportunity to sharing a fantastic moment. This morning I walked into the bakery wrapped in sheared mink in a dark atmosphere with a cold temperature and icy wind (-8°C). I went for a second longer walk in cold atmosphere (-5°C). A beautiful sun for following the cold atmosphere today...
Maine Fur Lover Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 I sit outside every morning in fyr coat, pants, mittens, and booties with my coffee and enjoy the sun and the birds.
kev86 Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 This is really nice, the sun is just beautiful and the atmosphere is fabulous when we walk in a calm place... I really like the sunrise, the changing atmosphere between the coldness of the night and the sun which warms our faces marked by an icy wind.
WinnipegFur Posted December 31, 2025 Author Posted December 31, 2025 Had an awesome fur morning today.. It was -31 with the windchill so pulled out my massive silver fox coat, knit black fox hat, and I have a pair of fox mitts on the front side and black muskrat on the palm side.. I probably spent at least 3.5 hours this morning wrapped up in that... Did several miles walking on the paths watching the wind whip the fur around... the sleeves on this coat are huge and its just so amazing to see the long gaurd hairs blowing in the wind... I actually never came across anyone at all walking.. Guess it was too cold for them.. I was perfectly warm! The bad thing is... the top eyelet broke for the clasp... I noticed when I got home it wasnt done up.. when I went to do it up to spend some more time in the coat in doors I noticed the eyelet had broken.. so gotta take it in to get fixed... 2

Your started the new year with a incredible fur look today, a beautiful idea for your foxes to come open the fur season 2026, your foxes are happy with this beautiful morning walk in the cold and brutal wind... This is really bad but your furrier fixe the problem and your fox back at home to enjoying your fur walks and give you a lot of pleasure... Happy new year with your family and friends, I wish you a very good health...
picarenne Posted Thursday at 11:20 AM Posted Thursday at 11:20 AM (edited) Hello all! The fur ventures began at the end of this year for me 😄 Temperatures got low enough in Sweden, and I decided to spend the New Year in Narvik (northern Norway). I took a long fox fur coat with me, along with a sable chapka and mink gloves. (Yea that's quite a mix... I had spare hat/gloves but the fur ones are the warmest and most comfortable) It is simply amazing. I got looks and compliments from people on the night train and at the hostel, and they were curious what kind of fur it was. I even sympathised with a couple. In the end, the girl asked if it was fox, and went to stroke it. So now I am just enjoying the minus 10 to minus 20 temperatures, and getting that confidence boost as a man wearing fur 😉 Edited Thursday at 11:21 AM by picarenne 5

And the fox looks really good on you. It’s interesting to read that it worked as a social magnet and that you got compliments! I’ve also seen a few men wearing mink recently. I am really happy that us as men are getting more freedom to dress as we want and are able to wear what is traditionally considered “feminine” without facing any negativity. In a way I believe most modern furs are unisex. That’s good because I usually don’t like men fur designs. 4

In a way I believe most modern furs are unisex. That’s good because I usually don’t like men fur designs. When I go looking for furs, I really try and get those 80s/early 90s power fur coats..the big sleeves and collars... don't see them much.. and if you do find them, unfortunately the pelts have probably come to the end of their life... Ive bought some used fox and coyote and they've lasted a few years, then you start feeling the splits coming.. and when Ive taken them to the furrier for repair usually get told not worth fixing.. I don't really like mens styles coats either.. Im not one for the double breasted deal, or buttons and loops... I prefer the keska clasp and eye closures.. I also don't really like the split seam at the rear... although my massive coyote coat I recent got is like that.. the coat is so long though and has so much fur in it you can't even tell... I forgot how awesome that silver fox is... besides the clasps doing up as a womans coat (and who really cares) it could be worn by anyone... the time I got complimented wearing my raccoon full length coat/hat in the park, the woman didn't even know it was not a men's coat until I openly pointed out to her that it was my mom's coat she doesnt wear, and I wear it all the time... it was met with a who cares, looks great on you, and keep wearing it! 3

Weather was great to wore your fur, I find the mix of animals really interesting between the fox, sable and mink... You look great on your fur, the sable chapka is fabulous, a beautiful quality of sable pelts. Mink gloves are really nice and your hands stay safe... A great new to hear the positive feedback from people who saw you on the train! You met nice people and your developed a curiosity about your fur. I'm surely she appreciated the feeling with your fox coat. Yeah, surely it's important for a men to wear fur with confidence and a personal pleasure... A men who are wearing fur coat is just a men who is proud of her style, proud of wear real fur and proud to be a fur lover! Don't care about negative people and enjoy your fur season... kev86 Posted Thursday at 03:59 PM Posted Thursday at 03:59 PM Anyway, to know if a coat is designed for a woman or a man, you really have to pay attention to the details... Honestly, feminine designs are much more elegant and flattering. We live for ourselves first, before considering the opinions of others! Let's live happily and live our lives proudly... 1

So true.. mens coats just look like theres no "flare" to them... I pulled out one of my other mens coyote 3/4 coats and had it out beside another women's style coyote... Looks wise, the women's full length is a much better looking coat in my opinion... just seems to be more fur in it and Im personally all over big sleeves and collars... 1

Like with mink coats hoods are usually larger, softer and more often double sided for women. Much more confortable for fur lovers! 3

Totally agree with you, the design of a fox or a coyote full length is always more elegant, sleeves and collar are more voluminous and fluffy, designed for a beautiful statement. when you walk on the street with a full length, the elegance and confidence follow the statement of the coat... 1

Sounds exactly like here in Winnipeg... Besides me.. Ive seen 2 other fur coats all year... It was -31 windchill this morning, raccoon coat and hat were the perfect combo... I passed an older couple walking at 7AM, we said Good Morning to each other and carried on... on the other side of the park, I ran into 2 men probably in there late 40s walking their dog... same thing Good Morning.. carry on... then further down the path I ran into Miss Grumpy pants who always gives me the glare.. she's always got her face wrapped up in a wool scarf and I can only see here eyes... you can tell shes freezing cold and I can feel the cold anti fur glare lol... part of me wants to say dont you wish you were all wrapped up in a big fur coat like me hahaha 1

I adore raccoon fur, warm, wild and touch of tingly delight touching your cheeks as you cuddle into a grand collar. ( Tried one on when I was in Canada and loved it!) can you tell? 1

The collar on this coat is exactly as you expain it... when I have the collar up which I always do, the back stands to the top of my head and totally covers my cheeks.. when Im driving in the car when I shoulder check I literally turn into a wall of fur... the silvery long gaurd hairs on the sleeves add to it as well... the good thing is, raccoon is one of those anyone can wear it furs... If it was maybe 3 inches longer in length it would be perfect, but Im not complaining...

kev86 Posted Saturday at 09:55 AM Posted Saturday at 09:55 AM (edited) This is morning I went to the bakery at 7:30AM, dark atmosphere with a icy wind. I was alone on the street, I walked in a calm atmosphere. One of my favourite moments for beginning the day! Later at 9AM, I went to the fruits and vegetables market from small local producers, many peoples but i just saw a older lady wrapped in a faux fur, so bad... I don't had bad reaction but people stares my fur with insistence, I'm not surprised. I continued my shopping and after then returned home for prepare the lunch...
