fursamurai Posted Thursday at 04:06 PM Posted Thursday at 04:06 PM As some of you may know, following the culling of all danish mink and closing of mink fur farming during covid, the Kopenhagen fur auction company announced their closing. This is offcourse sad for fur enthusiast, as there will be a smaller pressence of mink and fur in general in Denmark (my country). However things aren't as bad that they aren't good for something else: After closing shop Kopenhagen Fur had to sell off all their material and inventory e.g. chairs lamp etc. but more importantly the skins, furs and general creations used for exhibitions and shows. All this stuff was offered from a danish auction company around christmas and new years. There were som truly lovely items up for sale, and the prices differed quite a lot, which is the nature of the auctioning process. I didn't end up purchasing any of the minks, as I have a small mink collection already, but my exitement was near unstoppable as I saw items bearing the familiar white and grey silvery colors of chinchilla. I knew this was my oppertunity to score some chinchilla without emptying my savings. A deliciously lined jacket came to be my possession. It is very small and hardly fits my gf (it cant close). But who cares? It's chinchilla!! And since the jacket has been a display piece, and the rest of the time storaged in a garment bag the fur is pristine! 3 1
Kidnapped Posted Thursday at 08:30 PM Posted Thursday at 08:30 PM Congratulations. This jacket looks just stunning. Too bad I didn't hear about them closing - I would have loved to see if I could find something I might like.
