A tip when buying from an online fur store that uses representative photos

A few years ago, I bought a fur vest from Skandinavik Fur, which is located in Greece.  The purchase was made online.  I live in California.  The fur vest I received did not look like the photos in the listing.  Some online fur sellers use representative photos, especially if they make orders as they come in.  So that very nice looking bobcat fur jacket for sale for $2500 might be very different when you receive it in the mail.

At least my experiences with both Scandinavik Furs in Greece and also Furs Outlet (La Furia) in Poland were very pleasant. Although custom made for me I got exactly what was shown on the images.

Hello everyone,

I can see that several people here recommended Furs Outlet store. Unfortunately I must say, I'm having a bad experience with them so far. I ordered something on their en.furs-outlet.com online shop over 6 weeks ago and they still haven't delivered. Many times I have tried to contact them to ask about the order, was it over their [email protected] email, phone number listed on their website, text message, Whatsapp, Facebook, and still got no answer. The only time I managed to get some replay was on Instagram, where they assured me that the order is being prepared and should be delivered in a few days. That was 3 weeks ago, I sent them a couple of messages since then, but got no answer. What's more, their website went down like 3-4 days ago and it says that the store is blocked. Has anyone had a similar experience with them? If someone got to talk to them in the past, can you please dm me how did you do it? I would appreciate all the information you have, thanks.

I also noticed that the website is blocked. I sent them a message to ask but no reply so far. When I bought from them last year I had a similar experience (although their website was still alive). It took a long time without response, but to my relief I did receive my fur (after more than 6 weeks). I hope the same for you.

Thanks for the feedback, that's a little bit of relief, but still quite concerning why they keep operateing like this😅. I will keep nudging them until hopefully I will get some response, thanks again.

Yeah I've bought from them also. It was similar, there was a long wait of a couple weeks, but eventually I did get my fur and it was wonderful. So I think they're pretty slow on replies and updates, but they have been pretty genuine from my experience.

The last time that I did order something from them, it did take a while, but I did eventually receive my order. Also, I've typically been able to get in touch them pretty reliably on Insta.

Did you guys recieve any notification that the order was sent? or was it just delivered one day without any prior information?

A few years ago I bought a wonderful mink coat from Furs Factory Outlet. Delivery and coat were perfect. I wear it regularly ... with delight. Once I ordered another mink coat from them. It didn't fit and I could return it without problem. I also bought a Blackglama mink from them, but I was disappointed. Now I notice that their site is blocked. Over the last two years I have seen their offering regressing, being only a pale copy of what it was when they were selling on E-bay. I hope that they will honour the ongoing orders but nobody can be sure at this point.

I think they informed me in advance. But that was about three to four years ago. I remember that I ordered in September. The actual delivery was in December.

I do believe they informed me but not at once, it was already out for delivery.

Yeah I think for one of my order, they didn't give me shipping notification and after a few weeks I messaged to follow up and they never responded. Then a few weeks after that it suddenly arrived at my house. So the communication can be bad but it'll get there.

Lolita, any updates on this? Did you receive your coat?

Hi, no changes so far. I didn't recieve the order but a week ago I sent them a letter with a termination of a contract and asked for a refund, although they didn't even picked the mail yet 😅. I'm slowly starting to think that it is a lost cause and I'm gonna try to get my money back otherwise, but I'm gonna still give them some time and see how things turn out.

Oh wow. Sorry to hear it. 

If you paid with a credit card and/or you paid through PayPal, you probably have some protections that allow you to get your money back. 

Sorry to hear it went so poorly. I have 3 furs from them, all of which I love!
