COVID 19 transferring from humans to mink and back again.

I don't know if this story is being reported in the USA just now but here in Europe there's a growing concern about 16 million mink on Danish fur farms having to be culled owing to the animals contracting Covid 19 from workers on the fur farms.  The mink have mutated the virus and are now passing it back to unaffected workers.  It's led to tourists in Denmark having to self isolate on their return to the UK.

Another nail in the coffin for the fur trade since the anti's are jumping on the band wagon and calling for the complete discontinuation of fur farming.  Alas, this may give them the traction they've been looking for all those years.

I followed the story. Sad news and sad to see the Antis again. Also sad that the minks will be burned and not used.

Will be interesting to see the effects on mink prices.

Note that Covid-19 is likely to pread to other animals like raccoons, otters, badgers and ferrets. So Covid-19 will be around humanity anyhow. Hope we will find a vaccine soon.

Why do they want to kill all minks, not only the infected?

Why can't they use the fur, they just can disinfect with alcohol?

Why do humans turn in to complete idiots when they are scared?

Yeah, Denmark ordered them to kill all 17 million mink in the country.

and it is against current danish law.

They say now that it was only a recommendation and not an order lol
