MinkMinx Posted April 23, 2020 Share Posted April 23, 2020 I'm wondering if anyone can tell what kind of fur this is? The seller said it was red fox fur and I was immediately doubtful because it doesnt look like the 2 fox coats I own but I thought maybe it was sectional or maybe fox belly and the price was cheap so I gave it a shot. Now I'm really confused though. When I pulled it out of the box I first thought it was mink, but it doesnt look quite like my minks either. The guard hairs are way longer than any of the minks I have and it looks fluffier than mink but about the same density? It kind of seems like a cross between mink and stone marten. I also thought it might be muskrat but I've only ever touched sheared muskrat so I dont know what natural muskrat looks or feels like. Any help would be extremely appreciated!
