Joana Vasconcelos...

I almost fell off my kitchen chair tonight whilst watching the BBC 6 O' Clock News.  A Portuguese artist named Joana Vasconcelos was interviewed in Yorkshire for having installed a giant cockerel in a public garden devoted to similar sculptures.  However, my interest was less in her art than the fact that she was wearing a full length mink coat!  I said to my wife that it must be decades since I've seen someone wearing real fur on British TV.

A tiny bit of research shows that she is a very successful artist with her pieces going for eye watering sums of money.   Nice to see someone waving the flag  for real fur!

Thank you for sharing...great to see a country that has gone overboard on PC "allowing" for this.  Obviously, they had no control directly over what a guest was wearing, but I will bet there will be negative backlash.

So far, nothing!  But I'll keep an eye out for outraged letters in The Radio Times! (The UK's most popular TV and Radio listings magazine 😉)
